This is a 2D needle felting kit and the techniques are simple. You can follow guidance on the video and in the kit, create your own designs, perhaps a message you want to convey and send to a friend.

It’s great for adults as well as children, depending on their dexterity.  I recommend it for children over 7 years, but some younger children might like to have a go too.  Needle felting can overcome inhibitions about drawing: this is just another medium, not with pencil and paper, but with wool and can truly liberate the artist that is in us all!

All my kits are plastic free, and in this case, the bag becomes the needle felting pad – 100% wool! – so there’s absolutely no waste. The colour of the bag varies (brown or white).  The fibres are from my Devon supplier using locally sourced wools.

In the kit:

• Simple instructions and video access on purchase

• 3 Felting needles

• 5 Postcard sized flat felts

• Wool fibres (tops); turquoise, deep red, gold, dark green, plus black and white

• Felting pad (do not remove from the bag)

The wool provided is best used sparingly, and will be enough for several postcards.
