Origami Felt Swan Kit
Therapy in making…
The swan appears in many ancient myths as the bringer of new life, symbolising the Cycle of Life and transformation. St.Brigid is often connected to the swan, especially at Imbolc, the first of February, which lies midway between the Winter Solstice and the spring equinox.
Traditionally, the craft of origami uses paper to make animals, birds and flowers. This kit uniquely uses a square of felt, and once folded, we switch methods to needle felting, sculpting the head and neck. The body becomes a receptacle for offerings of intentions or thanksgiving (or anything you like!). This is craft with intention, imbued with the spirit of the swan.
For each kit sold, a £3 donation is sent to Conservation Without Borders.
