A beautiful, soft and comforting alternative to a coffin, the Baby or Child cocoon can aid the process of grieving at a time of great suffering. This is a gentle container of organic wool felt of a simple construction with a soft hemp jersey wrap inside.

Carefully hand made entirely from sustainably sourced, organic natural materials. Made to order, either Swans Wing or Leaf shaped.  Suitable for burial or cremation in most cases.

Traditional coffins had always seemed too hard and cold to us and just didn’t feel right for our children; Yuli’s work was the antithesis of this. Design information

Unlike a conventional wooden coffin, the Cocoon can be easily held and cradled, whilst having enough firm structure in the base to be handled safely.

Older children may need a Cocoon with more structure, similar to the Leafcocoon or Heritage Shroud.

Because we are designers and make everything by hand, we can therefore adapt our designs to suit the age and size of the child and the requirements of the parent/s or guardian/s. Each Child or Baby Cocoon is made to order.
